Angels Among Us Pet Rescue would like to announce this week's pet-of-the-week, Venus!
She is a 4 year-old purebred German Shepherd, was saved from Chattooga County Animal Control and is currently in boarding. When we got her, she had been neglected but was still so very sweet. We have gotten about 15 pounds on her and she is absolutely beautiful. She went to foster, but we found out that she does not like cats and does not get along with all small dogs. She does, however, love people and is completely housebroken. The family had teens and a toddler and she was incredibly sweet to everyone. She spent time in the family music store and did great! She loved one of their small dogs, but just could not get along with the other one. She also needs at least a 6-foot privacy fence. She just wants to be with her humans and will climb a 4-foot chain link. Venus would be perfect in an active family. She would make a great running partner and the perfect companion for a couple, or a family with kids. She can live with another bigger male, but would do best as an only dog perhaps.
