Armed Suspect Robs Woman Outside Roswell Bank
The woman was putting cleaning supplies in her trunk when she was approached by a man armed with a knife.

ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Police Department continues to investigate an armed robbery of a woman outside a bank on Holcomb Bridge Road. Officers were dispatched to a call of a robbery around 12:04 a.m. June 5 at SunTrust Bank at 8390 Holcomb Bridge Road.
The officer arrived at the scene and met with the woman, who was sitting inside her vehicle in the parking lot at the bank. According to an incident report released by Roswell police, the victim, a janitor, said she was leaving the bank around midnight, taking out trash and cleaning supplies.
While loading the supplies into the truck of her car, she said "she could feel someone walking up towards her," the officer wrote in the report.

The woman said she called 9-1-1 on her cell phone and placed that phone inside a cleaning bucket, which she put in the trunk of her car. As she turned around, she was confronted by a man brandishing a butterfly knife. The subject demanded the woman to hand over her purse, which she "tossed" to him as he fled the scene, the report adds.

The subject, who the woman said "looked familiar to her," was described as a black male who stood 5'8'' tall. He had a medium build, dark complexion and appeared to be in his mid 30s. The case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Roswell police at 770-640-4100.
