Yardstix! - Barbara Vergara from Woodstock
Barbara and her sister began repurposing one of a kind plates and birds into birdfeeders after attending craft shows and being inspired. These unique pieces are sure to attract the birds to your neighborhood and provide beautiful artwork for the outdoors. Barbara thinks that supporting local artists is important because it offers a “sincere interaction and provides accountability for our products.” Gardeners and bird lovers alike will find something with Yardstix!

Donna Grammas Pottery from Roswell’s Clay Collective
Back again this year, Donna grew up in Lake Michigan Beach where her mother kept her and her sisters busy crafting because there was little else to do! Because of this time spent with creating, she developed her love and passion for pottery (among other things.) 33 years later she discovered the Art Center West and reconnected with her love of pottery. Supporting local businesses and artisans is important because it creates “the pride of ownership in your area.” Donna reflects that she “puts a lot of thought in making my pottery, choosing the correct food safe glazes and offering them at a reasonable price.” You are sure to find the perfect gift for that person in your life who loves their own custom piece.
JimBaze - Don Whittaker from Brookhaven
Don began building drums through a little part necessity and also the wonder of invention. Being a percussionist himself, his passion and respect for the instrument plus a keen eye for detail came together to share the art of West African drums and drumming with more people. Don knows that buying local is not JUST about the holidays - “In addition to the pure economics of it, by investing locally, monies directly go back into the community, and especially the communities that buy local.” He knows that music is a powerful force for everyone and getting one’s first hand drum (whether novice or expert) is a big impact for anyone.
Willamette Woodworks - Robert Hayes from Marietta
We are happy to welcome new artisan Robert Hayes to the Holiday Market this year. His inspiration for his products comes from memories of visiting his Grandfather in Portland and working in his shop. Robert sees that “we are beginning to see a lot of trending towards appreciating the skill and craftsmanship of our forefathers and many businesses are striving to make goods that will stand the test of time and be appreciated by future generations. Many of these people are using that creativity to run a business and support their families’ right here in our community.” Whether you are finding a gift for your father, mother, teacher, or friend – there are plenty of unique items to find.
Note: No ATMs on site, some vendors only take cash or check. PLEASE CARPOOL. Free limited parking. Market Vendor spaces are all full.
