Bikes For Kids Holiday Campaign Underway

Bike Alpharetta will be hosting the 10th Annual Bikes For Kids from Nov. 5 to Dec. 3, providing cleand and refurbished bicycles and tricycles to the holiday program for North Fulton Community Charities. A Kickoff bicycle ride hosted by Cannon Cyclery and Blue Bicycles on Nov. 5, with post-ride refreshments and celebration at Abbey of the Holy Goats.

The Bikes For Kids campaign asks people to clean out their basements and garages and donate previously-loved bikes and trikes in November. Dropoffs can be made at all Alpharetta Fire Stations, as well as participating bike shops. To see a list of the fire stations and bike shops, visit www.bikealpharetta.org. Any donations of $10 or more made to Bike Alpharetta, will be used purchase youth bike helmets, bike locks and cleaning supplies for Bikes For Kids. And Cannon Cyclery will give away a new BLUE bicycle to encourage donations! Each $10 donation made to Bike Alpharetta makes difference, and drawing made Dec. 3 (do not need to be present to win).

Last year, 225 bikes/trikes were cleaned and repaired in one day and provided to North Fulton Community Charities! Bike Alpharetta hopes to be able to provide 300 items this year!
