Birthday Fundraiser Honors Roswell Arts Festival Founder

ROSWELL, GA -- The Child Development Association has chosen Sally White as this year’s birthday fundraiser celebration. 

The birthday festival commemorating the founder of the Roswell Arts Festival will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, June 25 at the home of Bill and Cheryl Cooper Abbott at 1095 Stonegate Court in Roswell. 

The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $78 per person and includes beverages and food. There will be local art available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Roswell-based association's Scholarship Fund.

The Roswell Arts Festival is held each year on the third weekend in September. Since 1966, the festival has supported more than $1 million in projects around the city, according to its website.

The event will be hosted by Gail Bohannon, Glenn and Nancy Diamond, Rich and Kelly Dippolito, Malone and Charlotte Dodson, Dotty Etris, Joe and Mary Glover, Henry Hicks, Maurice and Joan Hillard, Kent Igleheart, Mary Anne Johnson, Sally Johnson, Theo Kerserling, Ladies’ Dinner Club, Leitalift Foundation, Jeff and Valerie Morelli, Jerry and Brenda Orlans, RFBC Fellowship Sunday School class, Morgan and Janet Rodgers, Jack and Martha Rollins, Roswell Arts Festival Committee, Roswell Historical Society, Roswell Rotary Club, Jerry and Sue Sharp, Donna Smythe, Ed and Tammy Tate, Tolbert and Nancy Yilmaz, Mark and Sue White, Mayor Jere and Claudia Wood and Mike and Becky Wynn. 

A nonprofit association, the Child Development Association provides affordable early learning programs and childcare for children of low-income families in the Atlanta metro area. The CDA prepares children for success in education and life.
