Boosterthon Celebrates 10,000th Fun Run In Roswell
The March 29 Boosterthon Fun Run will celebrate multiple milestones at Northwood Elementary School.

ROSWELL, GA — Boosterthon will hold its 10,000th Fun Run program on March 29 at Northwood Elementary School in Roswell. The Boosterthon Fun Run event will also be a celebration of another historical milestone: having helped schools profit $200 million through Boosterthon Fun Run events throughout the last 16 years.
Boosterthon boasts an integrated fitness, leadership and character platform that raises money for schools while encouraging students to live healthy, character-filled lives.
“When schools get stronger, everyone wins,” said Boosterthon founder and CEO Chris Carneal. “Boosterthon was created to help schools profit more money while helping students build character through leadership and fitness. 10,000 programs and $200,000,000 means that local schools are getting the funding they need to give their students the best educational experience possible.”

Over the course of 10,000 fundraising programs, Boosterthon schools have purchased tremendous resources to improve education. These items include over 50,000 laptops, over 30,000 iPads, 948 playground enhancements, over 1,800 SMART boards and over 200 S.T.E.A.M. labs and programs, as examples. The full list of purchased resources can be found at Boosterthon.com/10K.
Every year Boosterthon executes an all-new character theme. This year’s Boosterthon character theme is Castle Quest, which introduces more than one million students nationwide across U.S. schools to the six virtues of true heroes: focus, self-awareness, respect, trustworthiness, creativity and how to be a life-learner.
“Castle Quest is our most holistic program to date,” said Carneal. “These six qualities of true heroes include academic traits, social learning and skills and classic character traits it takes to be a leader. We believe we can be influential in helping grow the next generation of world changers in our nation’s schools.”

About the Boosterthon Fun Run 2018-2019 Program Theme
Boosterthon’s upcoming character theme is called Mindspark Mystery Lab, a science-infused mystery theme all about solving problems using character. It will combine S.T.E.A.M skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) with character building. Students will help a team of brainy kids solve problems using a super-lab hidden inside a school and learn five character lessons along the way—citizenship, zest, integrity, teamwork and growth mindset.
