Keep Roswell Beautiful has joined with sponsors The Home Depot, 11 Alive, The Davey Tree Expert Company, and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation to sponsor the Bring One for the Chipper program as part of a statewide effort to reuse Christmas trees.
Last year, more than 9,000 trees were collected in Roswell. Bring One for the Chipper is a statewide effort spearheaded by Keep Georgia Beautiful, which involves hundreds of communities and thousands of volunteers.
Since its inception, the program has recycled an estimated 6 million Christmas trees throughout Georgia. The mulch from these trees has been used for playgrounds, local government beautification projects and individual yards.
