Cherokee Arts Center Partners With Local Children’s Theatre

Alpharetta, July 26, 2014: The Off Broadway Kids Children’s Theatre is pleased to announce its partnership with the Cherokee Arts Center. After offering a variety of musical theatre camps this summer which were well received by the community, a decision has been made to continue this partnership for the Fall. Off Broadway will offer weekly musical theatre and improv classes for children between the ages of 5-14 at the Cherokee Arts Center. In addition to that, Off Broadway will produce a production of Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh Kids” featuring local children between the ages of 5-12.

The Off Broadway Children’s Theatre in Canton is pleased to announce auditions for Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh Kids” for ages 5-12 on August 23rd from 11am-1pm at the Cherokee Arts Council Theatre in Canton, Georgia. Auditionees should prepare 30 seconds of a musical theatre song of their choice to sing and dress comfortably to learn a short dance. They may also be asked to read from a script. If cast, there is a 150.00 production fee and the performances will be held at the Cherokee Arts Council Theatre in Canton, on October 24 and 25, 2014.

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, and Owl but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship, and sharing snacks.
