Bulky Trash Amnesty Day Returns To Roswell

The event, for Roswell and Milton residents only, will be held Aug. 20 at the Roswell Public Works Department on Hembree Road.

ROSWELL, GA -- If you've missed previous opportunities to get rid of junk cluttering up your homes and garages, the cities of Roswell and Milton will soon give you another chance to clean house.

Both cities will host a bulky trash amnesty day on Saturday, Aug. 20.

From 8 a.m. to noon, residents can bring items to the Roswell Public Works Division at 1810 Hembree Road in Roswell.

Only city of Milton and Roswell residents will be served. Proof of residency will be required, and utility bills are preferred. Roswell residents with the window decal do not need any other form of identification

Items that will be accepted include mattresses and box springs, tires (off the rim; four per person), sofas, tables and chairs, refrigerators, washers and dryers, deactivated cell phones, electronics, grills and lawnmowers (with fluids drained).

You are prohibited from bringing paint, household hazardous waste, any fluids, batteries, construction waste, demolition materials, yard waste, televisions and monitors.

For proper disposal of motor oil and anti-freeze, contact the Roswell Recycling Center at 770-442-8822. For disposal of construction and demolition materials, contact Chadwick Landfill at 770-475-9868.

If you have items that are in good, usable condition, please consider donating items to local charities listed here.

Materials will only be accepted at the site on the day of the event and only during the hours of 8 a.m. and noon. Please note that the gate will close at noon.
