Bulloch Hall Rolls Out 2 New Tours For Public
Regular admission applies: $8 adults, $7 seniors, $6 children, free for children six-years-old and under.
From Bulloch Hall: Historic Bulloch Hall, in partnership with the Friends of Bulloch Hall, introduces two tours in September to be given for groups of ten or more. One is a “Behind the Ropes” tour and the other is a Decorative Arts tour. Both tours can be scheduled with two weeks notice. Regular admission applies: $8 adults, $7 seniors, $6 children, free for children six-years-old and under.
“Behind the Ropes: Kitchen to Attic” is a complete tour of the house with an emphasis on construction and architectural details from the 1830s period. Bulloch Hall, a Greek revival home, is considered one of the best examples in Georgia from this period. Visitors see areas that reveal the original construction from 1839. These group tours are offered beginning Sept. 12, 2018 and may be scheduled by calling (770)992-1731, ext. 4 or emailing gwen@bullochhall.org.
The “Decorative Arts Tour” is a chance to learn intriguing details about style and furniture in the nineteenth century while touring Bulloch Hall. See textiles, ceramics, cabinetry, rugs, and more while learning about the Bulloch family. Experience the beauty of everyday objects crafted by skilled artisans. Group tours for ten or more begin Sept. 26. These tours should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance by calling (770)992-1731, ext. 4 or emailing gwen@bullochhall.org Bulloch Hall is the childhood home of President Teddy Roosevelt’s mother, Mittie Bulloch. It was constructed in 1839 by the Bulloch family, who lived there until 1856. Bulloch Hall is owned and operated by the City of Roswell.
