Step aside, PSL—it’s time to give fall’s favorite ingredient the culinary spotlight it deserves! Join us in the studio for The Pumpkin Masterclass, a sweet, hands-on deep dive into the art of autumn baking. From silky spiced custards and pillowy cakes to flaky, buttery pastries, you’ll learn how to transform real pumpkin into showstopping fall desserts that go far beyond basic pie.
In this interactive workshop, our pastry instructor will guide you through the science and technique of pumpkin prep. You’ll master balancing warm autumn spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, and cardamom), incorporating pumpkin purée into various doughs and batters without losing structure, and achieving the ultimate textures for fall entertaining!

What You’ll Bake & Learn:

Pumpkin Chai Streusel Bread: Moist pumpkin loaf spiced with black tea aromatics (cardamom, ginger, clove), topped with a crunchy brown sugar streusel.
Rustic Pumpkin & Goat Cheese Tart: A savory-sweet galette featuring roasted pumpkin slices, caramelized onions, fresh thyme, and tangy goat cheese on a flaky crust.
Pumpkin Maple-Pecan Scones: Flaky cut-in scones packed with toasted pecans, finished with a rich maple syrup glaze.
Pumpkin Bundt Cake with Salted Bourbon-Caramel Drizzle: A stunning centerpiece cake baked in a decorative bundt pan, finished with a warm bourbon-caramel glaze.

Mimms Museum of Technology and Art

Can you imagine living in a place that doesn’t have enough clean water?
Join us for a special Talking Tech presentation with Joseph Mooney, co-founder and CEO of WattAir, as he explores innovative solutions to one of the world’s most pressing challenges: water scarcity.
Learn how new technologies can capture water directly from the atmosphere using low-grade heat and discover the surprising connection between air, water, and heat. Through the story of WattAir’s development, Joseph will discuss how these advances could transform agriculture, industry, and the resilience of communities facing an uncertain future.
Admission to the presentation is free thanks to support by Georgia Humanities, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, through funding from the Georgia General Assembly.
