The Well of Roswell

Join us as we celebrate the art exhibit "Visions Quests in Color" by Rita Omark, our featured artist this quarter.&nbsp; Refreshments will be served.&nbsp; Free

Rita Omark although a self-taught artist, has been encouraged by many wonderful teachers over the past twenty-eight years on her creative journey. She has been inspired by great masters: Georgia O'Keeffe, Helen Frankenthaler, John Marin, Pierre Bonnard, Delaunay, Van Gogh and Kandinsky.

Rita enjoys painting images from her imagination, dreams and vision quests. Sometimes a photo - a&nbsp; place - will inspire, presenting an opening or creative portal existing alongside the idea of the painting; most often something all its own comes through for expression.

Pure color drives the process for Rita as her vision for others viewing her art is to follow color and line and be transported to that "other place." Rita's style is eclectic as she works with many mediums: acrylic and acrylic inks, water color, oil pastels, graphite and pen, color pencil and collage.
Rita received her certificate from the Atlanta Botanical Garden Drawing Program. Her studio for the past fourteen years in Decatur, GA is located in Sycamore Place Gallery where she also attends adult art class for "independent projects" with artist and teacher, Sylvia Cross. On October 11, City Green becomes the place to gather, discover, and raise a glass at the Sandy Springs Wine Festival, returning for its fourth year on City Green under a large tent from 2–5 p.m.
The afternoon begins at 2:00 with an intimate Reserve Tasting, featuring exceptional premium wines, followed by a General Tasting at 3:15, showcasing more than 175 wines from around the world.
