Cause Of Roswell House Explosion Revealed
BREAKING: Two men remain hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital with second- and third-degree burns stemming from the explosion.
ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Fire Department's Fire Marshal's Office has released the cause of the explosion that leveled a house and injured three people Tuesday evening.
A natural gas leak from a clothes dryer caused the explosion at the home on Pine Grove Pointe Drive, said agency spokesperson Capt. Pabel Troche. Fire crews were dispatched to the explosion around 8:49 p.m. June 12 at the home, which is off Shallowford Road.
One man, identified as Win Reid, suffered minor injuries, and did not have to be transported to the hospital. However, fellow residents Pat Simmons and Brendan Morton suffered second- and third-degree burns stemming from the explosion. They remain hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

"Over half of their bodies have 2nd and 3rd degree burns," said page organizer Emma-Rae Pinson. "Everything all three boys owned is now lost or under significant rubble from the explosion. Any donation is helpful to help the boys buy new clothes, shoes, and basic living supplies. Before all else, thank you for your thoughts and prayers."
