Chattahoochee Nature Center Releases Summer Concert Series Lineup

ROSWELL, GA — What better way to wrap up the weekend than an evening under the stars listening to live music with friends? Live music fills the stage on the second Sundays, from May–September. Whether it’s a girls’ night, date night or a you night, nature will provide the perfect backdrop for the evening. Bring a picnic, blanket and plenty of food to share in this relaxed night of fun.

Come out to opening night of the 2019 season with the fantastic and soulful stylings of Lindsay Lou, May 12.

Lindsay Lou has been making personal, poignant music for the last decade. An undeniable powerhouse, Lou's remarkable gifts as a singer, songwriter, musician and performer demand the listener's attention. Her singing floats over the masterful playing and deep groove of her band with both a fierce intensity and a tender intimacy.

Of Lou’s live show, fRoots Magazine reviewed her as " ... [Lindsay Lou is] the most affectingly expressive singer since Amy Winehouse, backed by the new Punch Brothers." The Boot, who featured Lindsay Lou Band as a "Can't Miss Act at AmericanaFest 2018," said "...Lou brings introspection and masterful vocal work to her live show.”

Following Lou are a lineup whose quality is found nowhere else in Atlanta. With Freddy & Francine, Joe Alterman, Sam Lewis and the indomitable Shemekia Copeland paying nature a visit.

The Sundays on the River concert series is held every second Sunday, from May through September at the picturesque Chattahoochee Nature Center. Nestled along the banks of the Chattahoochee River in Roswell, CNC is Atlanta’s nature destination, connecting people with nature through fun and educational programming, family events, and experiences along the river.
