Children's Development Academy Awarded 3-Star Rating
Quality Rated is Georgia's system to assess, improve, and communicate the quality of care a child care program provides.

From CDA: Children’s Development Academy has received their second three-star rating from Bright from the Start: The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning’s Quality Rated program. Quality Rated is Georgia’s system to assess, improve, and communicate the quality of care a child care program provides. Like rating systems for restaurants and hotels, Quality Rated is easy for parents and families to understand and use.
“We understand that families want to make the best choices for their child’s growth and development so that they have a bright start in life. That is why we applied for Quality Rating status in 2013 and again in 2018. Our mission is affording all children in our community high-quality early education and the three-star rating is confirmation that we are reaching our goals of providing high-quality early education,” said Maggie DeCan, CDA’s CEO & Executive Director.
All child care providers that participate in Quality Rated – whether they have one, two or three stars – have gone above and beyond state health and safety requirements to provide a high-quality experience to the children in their programs.

“I applaud CDA for their continued commitment to providing quality early learning as evident in achieving the highest rating in Georgia’s Quality Rated system. It is clear that the teachers and staff recognize the long-term impact the quality early learning experience provided at CDA will have on the children attending the school and work tirelessly to achieve and maintain a three star Quality Rating,” said Commissioner, Amy M. Jacobs of Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.
