Roswell City Council Election Nov. 7: How To Run

Applicants must pay $540, be at least 21 years old and have lived in Roswell for at least a year before Nov. 7.

ROSWELL, GA — In conjunction with the general election on Nov. 7, 2017, Roswell is holding a special election for a new City Councilmember for Post 3. The seat expires Dec. 31, 2019.

To qualify for the seat, potential candidates must submit a Notice of Candidacy and Affidavit along with the qualifying fee, which is $540. Candidates must also be at least 21 years old, must have lived in Roswell for at least a year before the election date and must continue to live in Roswell for the duration of their term.

The window to apply is thin, lasting only three days from Sept. 6 to Sept. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Roswell City Hall at 38 Hill St.
