Deep Roots Wine Market To Open In Roswell
Customers can direct purchase wines or sample them in a tasting room that will feature six Napa Technology pouring stations.

ROSWELL, GA — Roswell residents will soon have a new place to pick up hand-selected Napa Valley wines you typically would not see on the shelves of your favorite shops. Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room at 1055 Canton Street will open this spring, featuring California wines that are not sold at your local grocery or liquor stores.
These wines will be available to customers for direct purchase to take home or to sample by the glass in its tasting room, which will feature six Napa Technology wine pouring stations. The stations will allow patrons to purchase one, three, or six-ounce pours of 24 different wines using a reloadable prepaid card (For more news like this, find your local Patch here. Located next door to the popular Plum Café, owner Dana Gurela is launching the venture to share wine from her Napa Valley home with Roswell residents . Gurela is certified California Wine Appellation Specialist via the San Francisco Wine School and has obtained Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 2 certification from the Napa Valley Wine Academy.

“We want to take the stuffiness and pretense out of the wine sampling and purchasing process,” Gurela said in a press release. “Everyone will feel at home at Deep Roots, whether you’re still learning about wine or eager to add bottles to your home collection.”
The addition of the wine market and tasting room creates another unique destination business in Roswell’s emerging industry — craft beer, wine, and spirits — while its location adds to the walkability and continuity of the historic district, Roswell Inc said.

“Roswell’s craft beverage industry continues to grow with the addition of Deep Roots to our business community,” said Steve Stroud, executive director of Roswell Inc, the economic development arm of the city. “This business is the perfect complement to the already flourishing historic district, and our team is happy we could assist with the site selection process.”
Deep Roots Owner Dana Gurela cultivated her passion for wine while living for more than four years outside of Napa Valley, where she worked at two local wineries.
“We cannot wait to share our passion for wine with the Roswell community,” Gurela added. “Our mission is to create a comfortable gathering spot where friends and family can toast a special occasion, relax after a long week, or just run in to quickly grab a bottle of wine for dinner."
Deeps Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room will also feature a daily wine flight poured by staff, a selection of craft beers on tap, and a menu of food options provided by Plum Café. For more information about Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room, visit deeprootswine.com.
