Driver Ejected From Vehicle in Fatal Accident

The Roswell Police Department is investigating a fatal, single-vehicle accident that occurred just before noon Sunday near S.R. 400.

A motorist was traveling on Holcomb Bridge Road at Old Dogwood Road around 11:30 a.m. Feb. 22 when the vehicle hit a telephone pole, said Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland.

The woman, Roswell resident Valerie Cooper, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, Holland added.

“Officers have cleared the scene, but are still investigating the accident,” she said. “As of now, they have no witnesses, so they do not know what caused the wreck.”
