Drug Take Back Day Hosted By Roswell Police

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drug​s.

ROSWELL, GA -- If you have leftover or extra medications are taking up space in your cabinet, the Roswell Police Department will take it off your hands.

Bring any prescription and non-prescription drugs to the Roswell Recycling Center , 11570 Maxwell Road, on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. WellStar North Fulton Hospital will also be there to collect sharps/needles. This is a free service.

According to the 2017 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Results from the 16th national take back day in October 2018:

  • Total Law Enforcement Participation: 4,770
  • Total Collection Sites: 5,839
  • Total Weight Collected: 914,236 lbs. (457.12 Tons)
