enAble of Georgia Golf & Tennis Tournament
Golf and Tennis Tournament on Monday, October 17th at White Columns Country Club benefiting adults with developmental disabilities
enAble of Georgia will hold its Golf and Tennis Tournament on Monday, October 17, 2016. The event will be held at the amazing Tom Fazio designed golf course, White Columns Country Club. This course has consistently been one of Atlanta’s top golf courses. Situated on 250 acres of rolling hills, with towering Georgia pines, and picturesque lakes and streams, the 7,053-yard, par-72 course clearly shows what a talented designer can do with a great piece of land. The course has a distinctly traditional feel and features a superb mix of short and long holes that force golfers to use every club in their bag. This year’s event is sponsored by Bentley Atlanta and At-Pac Scaffolding and will include an 18-hole golf outing along with an eight court round robin tennis tournament. All guests will enjoy donated meals from Chick-fil-a Roswell and Hapeville, contests, prizes, raffle, beverages and a gourmet lunch after the event.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds to support the mission of enAble of Georgia, to support people with special needs to lead fulfilled lives—physically, intellectually, and socially. Net proceeds from the event will help with the build out planned for Fall 2016 for the Roswell Day Services location and updated furnishings and technology needed after the build out is complete.
enAble of Georgia was founded in 1979, by a group of parents seeking a place in their community and greater independence for their sons and daughters with developmental disabilities. enAble currently supports 120 adults with developmental disabilities in Fulton County. All services provided by enAble focus on helping individuals become as independent as possible and to be a contributing, included member of their community.

The Honorary Chairs for the Golf and Tennis event will be Senator John Albers and his wife, Kari. Senator John Albers represents the 56th District, which includes portions of Fulton and Cherokee County. Senator Albers has long been an active member of his community. He is a fourth generation firefighter serving as a volunteer in Alpharetta and member of the Georgia Firefighters Association. In 2011 and 2015, Senator Albers was named Legislator of the Year by the Georgia State Firefighters Association and the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs. He and his wife, Kari of 23 years, have two sons: Will and Ryan living in Roswell and are members of Roswell United Methodist Church. Senator Albers previously served on the board of enAble of Georgia and has continued to be a supporter.
The Dream Makers for the Golf and Tennis tournament are Tom and Michelle Davis. For almost 20 years, the Davis’ and their business, At-Pac Scaffolding, have been great supporters of enAble of Georgia. Over the years they have sponsored and participated in almost every fundraising event that enAble has had.
