enAble of Georgia Hosts Groundbreaking Ceremony For Expansion

Renovations will begin Jan. 30 to expand services for adults with developmental disabilities.

On Tuesday, January 24, 2017, enAble of Georgia celebrated their upcoming renovations to their Day Services Center by holding a Groundbreaking Ceremony.

The event was attended by Mayor Jere Wood (Roswell), enAble of Georgia’s founder, Ginny Riley, Roswell Inc., Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Roswell City Council members, several of enAble of Georgia’s board of directors, families and supporters of enAble of Georgia and many of the individuals supported by enAble.

The renovation to the Day Program location on Old Ellis Road will allow the nonprofit organization to serve more adults with developmental disabilities and the opportunity to update the current services provided.

This renovation has been made possible by the many supporters and donors of enAble of Georgia along with community grant support from The UPS Foundation, Roswell Woman’s Club, and Cobb EMC Foundation. The projected date for renovation completion is late Spring/early Summer and enAble will host a ribbon cutting event to share the new updates with the supporters and community.

enAble of Georgia is a 501(c)(3) that was founded in 1979 by a group of concerned parents unsure of the future of their adult aged children with developmental disabilities after high school. enAble currently supports 125 individuals in Fulton County managing 18 residential group homes, operating two day services programs and supported employment programs.
