Entertainment Lineup Announced for Roswell Arts Festival

The 48th annual Roswell Arts Festival will return on Sept. 20-21.

The entertainment lineup for the 48th annual Roswell Arts Festival has been finalized.

The festival, which will be held Sept. 20-21, will feature fine arts, original crafts, food, entertainment and children’s activities.

Festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21.

Due to limited parking, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the free shuttle running from Roswell City Hall to the square. The shuttle will be running for the duration of the festival, and will have plenty of room to store anything that you might purchase.

Free parking will be provided at Roswell City Hall, located at 38 Hill Street. Artist applications are available on the festival’s website.

Saturday

  • 11 a.m.: Roswell City Dance Starz and Showstoppers – dance troupe
  • Noon: Kurt Scobie - piano-rock/pop singer/songwriter
  • 1 p.m.: Katharine Cole – singer/songwriter/storyteller
  • 2 p.m.: Five Long Years - A unique mix of blues, rock, psychedelia, and acoustic music.
  • 3 p.m.: David Payton – singer/guitarist/one-man band
  • 4 p.m.: Abbey and Dudley – acoustic duo
  • 5 p.m.: Adam Komesar – simply Sinatra (a one man tribute)

Sunday

  • 1 p.m.: Aspen Countryman – singer/songwriter
  • 2 p.m.: Raven and Red - bluegrass, country, and acoustic music band
  • 3 p.m.: Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance – dance troupe
  • 4 p.m.: City Mouse – Americana band

The festival draws artists and craftsmen from across the southeast, showcasing their creations and offering them for sale. Some of the local area participants include: Hans Meier crafts, Helen Tate-Kemp and Emily Vickers.

The Roswell Arts Festival is presented by the Roswell Recreation Association, a group dedicated to serving the Roswell Recreation & Parks Department’s needs.

Over the years the committee has contributed significantly to the quality of life enjoyed by Roswell residents. To date total funds toward Recreation in Roswell by the Roswell Recreation Association amount to over $858,000.
