Roswell Budokan Martial Arts Center is proud to announce a general swordmanship seminar under the direction of Ken Pitchford Sensei, from Chicago, IL. Pitchford SEnsei has been studing Japanese swprdmanship for 30 years and is ranked Renshi Nanadan (7th Degree) by the Japanese Iaido Federation.
Aikid is heavil influenced by Japanese Swordmanship and a basic understanding of sword work is a useful tool for every Aikido student. Presentation will include lecture and practice adn include history of the sword, brip, cut, angle. stance, posture and sword stikes. The information preseted will not be specific to any particular school of swordmanship, but rather a general presntation of sword techniques. No prior experience is required.
