Fellowship Christian Track and Field Athletes Set Records
Emma Grace Hurley won two races at the Milton Showcase Invitational while Reed Kroeber performed well at another meet.

ROSWELL, GA -- Fellowship Christian School senior Emma Grace Hurley won a pair of races at the Milton Showcase Invitational this weekend.

On March 4, Hurley captured the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:00.79. The next day she claimed the mile with a time of 5:04.
Following the race, it was announced that Hurley and Northview High School runner Lindsay Billings have posted the best two 5K times in the nation with their times at the Milton Showcase. Billings finished second in the race to Hurley, posting a time of 17:13.37.

The varsity track and field team from Fellowship competed with more than 10 other public and private schools in a meet at Landmark Christian School on March 5.
At that meet, senior Reed Kroeber set personal and school records with throws of 49-2 in the shot put and 145-9 in the discus. He was second in the shot put behind the 2015 Single A state champion from First Presbyterian Day School in Macon and third in the discus behind the 2015 state champion from First Presbyterian Day School and the runner up.
Both sophomore Cameron Swartz and senior Mitchell Keim placed second place in the girls’ and boys’ triple jump events, respectively.
“It was a great competition for our team,” head coach Tom Harrison said. “Congratulations to Johnny Baehman, CJ Burke, Harrison Jones, Reed Kroeber, Clay Rigsby and Davis Shaw for setting new personal records in their specific events. Reed did a fantastic job setting two school records.”
The varsity squad is scheduled to compete at the Pope High School Coaches Invitational March 18-19.
