To be eligible for office in the City of Roswell, a person must:

  • Must meet the requirements of a qualified voter of the City of Roswell, as prescribed by state law;
  • Must have attained the age of 21 years prior to the date of the election;
  • Must have been a bona fide resident of the City of Roswell for at least one year prior to the date of the election;
  • Continue to reside in Roswell during that member's period of service.

Council positions are designated by post numbers one through six. City elections are non-partisan, i.e., candidates do not run as members of a particular political party, and their individual party affiliations are not relevant to their positions in Roswell City Government. All Council posts serve at large, which means they represent the whole City and not just one district.

Your precinct and polling location is designated on your voter registration card (mailed to you by Fulton County) or you can locate them on the Georgia My Voter Page website. More information on voter registration is available here or by contacting the Fulton County Voter Registration Office at 404-730-7072.
