Roswell Plaza, affectionately known by locals as the Southern Skillet property after a beloved breakfast establishment, was acquired by the city in early 2016.

The DDA executed a lease for the property soon after the purchase for the purpose of pursuing redevelopment opportunities for the property.

Since that time it has been in the process of developing and executing Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP) processes to identify a team to acquire and redevelop this site.

The Beecham Group's proposal calls for creating a 5,000 to 7,000-square-foot upscale grocery, boutique or market; implementing enhancements along Fraizer and Alpharetta streets to include pedestrian friendly paths, parallel parking landscaping; about 15,000 square feet of office space; about 34 lots for townhouses; and other restaurant and retail uses.
