Former School Board Member, Wife Hit By SUV in Roswell
Ron Jackson and his wife, Liz, were injured while crossing the street during the city's Alive After 5 festivities.

ROSWELL, GA -- A Roswell couple is recovering after being hit by a car late last week in the central business district.
Ron Jackson, a former member of the Fulton County School Board, and his wife Liz were in the crosswalk on Magnolia Street near Mimosa Boulevard when the driver of a Lincoln Navigator made a left turn and hit them.
The June 16 incident took place during the city's June 16 installment of the Alive After 5 event. Jackson recounted the incident on his Facebook page.

"The impact knocked us down the street and two bones in Liz's arm/wrist were broken," he said, adding his wife had surgery on her left arm.
Jackson said he has a sprained ankle and other than being unable to walk comfortably, he is "fine."

"Liz is still in the hospital and is having a frustrating time getting things to a manageable condition," he added. "Happily, her orthopedic (sic) surgeon is very pleased with the progress of the healing of her arm incision and repair. She also has eight staples to close up a wound on the back of her head."
Jackson served on the Fulton County School Board from 1997 to 2004. He also served on the PTAs of Roswell North Elementary and Crabapple Middle schools.
He's currently a member of the Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell and the Roswell Historical Society.
