A Roswell-based nonprofit organization dedicated to serving north Fulton County’s less fortunate residents is inviting the public to its eighth annual Peachtree Tea Fundraiser.
The fundraiser for HomeStretch, which will also have a silent auction component, will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 24 at The Country Club of the South in Johns Creek.

HomeStretch’s mission is to “guide homeless working families with minor children in north metro Atlanta toward increased self-reliance and stability by providing life skills education, mentoring and supportive housing.”
Last year, 100 percent of the families that completed the Homestretch course were able to find stable housing upon leaving the program.

Included in the Peachtree Tea activities will be a champagne and mimosa silent auction, a seated High Tea with a light lunch accompanied by Jeff Burton on piano, keynote speaker Sara Blake Smith (homeless liaison with Fulton County Schools) and a brief address from a Homestretch program graduate.
Auction items include personal services, children’s items, jewelry, travel and vacations, fine dining, home services, including home organization services, artwork, the wine wall, a Big Green Egg, several in-home classes for groups and a few great surprises yet to be announced, with new items coming in every day.
Also this year, for the first time, there will be an online auction starting Feb. 6 for who can’t wait until Feb. 24 to bid on hot items. Residents will be able to purchase individual tickets, purchase an entire table for all of your friends or even become a sponsor on one of our many levels.
Donations will remain in the community and help neighbors in need, HomeStretch said. With room for only 300, the Peachtree Tea committee urges our guests to purchase tickets early in the event of a sellout.
