This free event is available to all city of Roswell residents, but reservations are required, as space is limited. They can be made by calling the theatre at 770-641-1260. Proof of Roswell residency will be required at the Box Office.

Before the preview, a pre-show talk will take place at 7 p.m. in the lobby.

The talk will feature conversation with both the play’s Director David Crowe and GET Artistic Director Bob Farley, as they discuss the play, its historical references, relevance to a contemporary society and the rehearsal process.

The Elephant Man will run at Georgia Ensemble Theatre from Oct. 30 through Nov.16, with regular ticket prices ranging from $25 to $35 (senior/student discounts available for select performances). “Recession-Buster” perimeter tickets may also be purchased for $10 based on availability. Tickets are available online or by calling the Box Office at 770-641-1260.

GET will also host a playwriting showcase at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 in the Arts Center’s lobby.

Students from the conservatory class Page One: Playwriting with Topher Payne will showcase their ten minute plays in eight staged readings performed by professional Atlanta actors. Payne is an award-winning Atlanta playwright whose work has been seen here on the GET stage with Tokens of Affection, Swell Party and The Only Light in Reno.

Students in this six-week intensive course, including older teens and adults, have been working with Topher to learn how to take the creative journey from a simple idea to a fully realized 10-minute play.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre is the official professional theatre company of the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, which sits at 950 Forrest Street. For more information, call 770-641-1260.
