Golf and Tennis Fundraiser for enAble of Georgia

White Columns hosted enAble of Georgia last week for their annual Golf and Tennis Tournament

Roswell, Georgia – October 25, 2016: enAble of Georgia’s Golf and Tennis Classic was held at White Columns Country Club on Monday, October 17, 2016. The honorary chair of the event was Senator John Albers and the event was sponsored by At-Pac Scaffolding and Bentley Atlanta. The tournament raised over $80,000 for the adults with developmental disabilities that enAble of Georgia serves. All net proceeds from the event will allow enAble to continue to follow its mission, to support adults with developmental disabilities to live fulfilled lives—physically, intellectually and socially.

It was a gorgeous, sunny day and over 100 golfers enjoyed the 18-hole tournament with an opportunity to win a Bentley for a year with a hole in one. Three of the holes were sponsored by local food vendors. Thank you to Flatlands Bourbon & Bayou, Talk of the Town Catering and Nothing Bundt Cakes for offering yummy tastings to all of our golfers on the course. Congratulations to Zac Malone, Kenny Rodden, Mark Cowart and Jason Chester for being the 1st place winners of the tournament. All players received breakfast, lunch and goody bags.

This year was the first ever tennis event offered to our supporters and we had 16 players in the tournament. The players enjoyed round robin doubles tennis and competition games in between play. All players received goody bags, desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes and the winners received champion plates. Thank you to Kari Albers for chairing this new event for enAble and thank you to our wonderful committee for helping with all of the details for the tournament.

Some of the raffle items donated: Hershel Walker signed football, Autographed photos from “Annie” of the Walking Dead, Bentley for a weekend, Sculpted Contours gift certificate, Altobelli’s gift certificate, wall art from Eleven Owls Studios and much, much more!

enAble of Georgia greatly appreciates all of the support throughout the year from all of the community and supporters. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers for making this a wonderful event! The next event that enAble will host is the 29th Annual Dare to Dream GALA on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Renaissance Waverly Atlanta Hotel.
