Group Fulfills Dream of Woman, 84, to Serve Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Second Wind Dreams and Krispy Creme will come together to allow a former employee to serve original glazed doughnuts to Roswell customers.

Second Wind Dreams and Krispy Kreme will come together to fulfill the dream of a former employee to once again serve customers at the doughnut shop in Roswell.

Jean Cooper, 84, a former Krispy Kreme employee and current resident of Arbor Terrace of East Cobb, will adorn her personal Krispy Kreme shirt and serve as the shop’s Hospitality Hero by offering warm smiles, greeting guests and providing doughnut samples to customers.

Cooper’s dream will come true from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 15 at Krispy Kreme’s Roswell location at 10781 Alpharetta Highway.

This will serve as Krispy Kreme’s way of giving thanks to a committed employee of operations, Second Wind Dreams said in its press release.

Cooper’s dream was discovered in June by Blake Rogers, a Pope High School student who made a visit to Arbor Terrace of East Cobb.

Cooper said she will never forget working for the global doughnut company as the bookkeeper at a satellite shop in Macon, she said. The copious amounts of sugary baked goods she ate while working also remain with her.

“Boy, I use to eat so many of them,” she added.

Roswell Krispy Kreme shop Assistant Manager Yanika Scott looks forward to honoring Cooper during Wednesday’s dream and the impact it will have.

“She (Cooper) will brighten up the shop with smiles and conversation. She will show customers and employees how important it is to believe in their dreams,” Scott said.
