New Board Members Join Habitat for Humanity North Central Georgia

A college professor, a commercial and business director have joined the board for Habitat for Humanity of North Central Georgia.

ROSWELL, GA — Habitat for Humanity of North Central Georgia has named three new board members, according to a news release.

“Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia has a long track record of success thanks to dedicated board members just like Anne Maher, Betsy McGriff and Mike Pennington,” said executive director of Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia Steve Napier in a news release.

“We appreciate their commitment and look forward to seeing the many contributions these individuals will make to the organization in the years ahead.”

New Board Members:

Anne Maher, of Atlanta, is an adjunct professor at Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business after having spent 30 years in executive positions with The Coca-Cola Company and General Motors Corporation, according to the news release. She will share her extensive tax and finance expertise with the organization.

Eva "Betsy" McGriff, of Dawsonville, is a business development director at Cooper & Company General Contractors, according to the news release. She is also an experienced community and economic development professional. She will share her strategic planning, community engagement and local government experience.

Mike Pennington, of Marietta, is a commercial director for Path & Post Real Estate and has extensive experience as a commercial real estate consultant, according to the release. He will share his real estate, negotiation and marketing experience with the board.

Founded in 1994, Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia, which serves Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth and North Fulton counties, enables individuals to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter, according to the release. Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia offers:

  • New home construction and rehab programs focus on helping families become first-time home buyers.
  • Home Repair Program serving the needs of current non-Habitat seniors, veterans, and disabled homeowners.
  • Corporate team building activities.+ Student engagement programs involving high school students from local area high schools.
