Help your kids experience nature at night at the Chattahoochee Nature Center’s 30th annual Halloween Hikes! Let your guide introduce you to friendly forest creatures as they tell their fascinating tales along with some clever trail antics. Enjoy our bonfire while listening to the lively rhythms of our world music drummer, plus you get to participate. This nostalgic event is a sure-fire cure for nature deficit disorder. Smell the fragrant woody scents of colorful autumn leaves crunching on the mulched woodland trails under your feet as you hike the lighted trails in the moonlight. No “frights, just excites” for kids who come in costumes.

Our fundraising concession stand will keep you feeling festive with hot cocoa, cider, and s’mores kits for the bonfire. Get your face painted, make crafts, chill out and play games while you enjoy autumn evenings taking part in a tradition that people around Roswell have come to know and love with non-scary fun for the whole family!

Admission: $9 per person - Children 2 and under are free (The trails are not suitable for strollers.). Experience the mystery of a guided night hike! Each group of 20 - 25 people will have a guide lead them safely on a lighted trail.

• Meet nature-costumed characters including everyone’s favorites, the Box Turtle and the Water Drop.
• Create fun crafts such as bat puppets, mysterious masks, and more.
• Show off your Halloween spirit by having your face painted with one of our “wild” Halloween designs.
• Thrill to lively musical entertainment.
