The Chattahoochee Nature Center's initiative provides produce to the North Fulton Community Charities' food pantry.

ROSWELL, GA -- Celebrating the garden and the plate, the Chattahoochee Nature Center welcomes top local chefs for its annual outdoor tasting event Harvest on the Hooch.

The event, which benefits the Roswell-based facility's Unity Garden, will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16.

Harvest on the Hooch supports the Chattahoochee Nature Center’s Unity Garden, which supplies more than five tons of fresh produce annually to the North Fulton Community Charities' food pantry.

Additionally, the Unity Garden is a learning facility where water conservation methods are taught and where children can plant, harvest, weed, seed and deliver the produce to NFCC food pantry while tasting just how delicious veggies can be.

Amidst a peaceful outdoor setting, attendees will enjoy a special kind of Southern-style garden party featuring generous samples from top local chefs along with wines, craft beers, live entertainment and activities for children.
