After hearing about the mission of lunches for learning, you can't help but want to give a lending hand. I believe that food is a basic right of every person, and children especially. My involvement started by helping on the event committee for the first fundraiser, and I am happy to be chairing the event this year where I can utilize my professional skill set in event planning and marketing to create a memorable experience while funding mission to support Lunches for Learning. Lunches for Learning provides nourishment in the way of food, mind, and soul.
Lunches for Learning has been in operation for nearly 15 years in the rural Pacific coast of Honduras. Since the initial benefit began in 2014, Lunches for Learning has been able to double their reach in the area and their donor revenue has nearly tripled. This benefit is not only significant in terms of fundraising but also the overall awareness of our cause. Six years ago, this non-profit that had all of its donor base in the state of Alabama. Because of the action of a few key committee members, Roswell residents and business owners are supporting 60% of our mission. Roswell has some of the most generous businesses in the southeast and I am amazed by our increase in support.
