Help Roswell Envision Bike, Pedestrian Connectivity At Open House

Through its Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan process, Roswell has been identifying and prioritizing bicycle and pedestrian investments.

ROSWELL, GA — The City of Roswell has set the wheels in motion on its first-ever Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.

The City of Roswell is continuing to work toward the completion of its first-ever Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan. The public can help the City envision the future of bicycle and pedestrian connectivity in Roswell at two upcoming Public Open Houses on Sept. 16 and 17.

Members of the public are invited to stop by these drop-in information sessions to learn about the planning process, provide insight on the long-term vision for bicycle and pedestrian enhancements, and provide feedback on the draft recommendations. City staff will be on hand during these open house–style events to answer questions, provide information, and collect feedback.

  • Monday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.; East Roswell Public Library, 2301 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, GA 30076
  • Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.; Roswell City Hall, Room 220, 38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA 30075

Through its Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan process, the City has been evaluating its policies and practices, identifying and prioritizing bicycle and pedestrian investments, and developing a fiscally realistic implementation strategy. The master planning process is now in the final of three distinct phases:

  1. A data-gathering phase to establish existing conditions. Conducted in spring 2019.
  2. An assessment phase to establish bicycle and pedestrian needs. Conducted in summer 2019.
  3. A recommendations phase to establish policies and infrastructure investments for the City’s consideration and develop a guide for implementation. Current phase.

A final Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
