Here Are The Best National Taco Day Deals In North Fulton

The history of tacos is one shelled in mystery, as the precise origin of the finger-friendly food remains unknown. However, Jeffery M. Pilcher, a professor of history at the University of Minnesota, told the Smithsonian Magazine that he thinks it’s likely that Mexican silver miners invented the taco in the 18th century.

“The first mention that I have seen [in the U.S.] is in 1905, in a newspaper. That’s a time when Mexican migrants are starting to come—working the mines and railroads and other such jobs,” said Pilcher.
