Historical Society Plans Roswell Tour of Homes

The first-ever event will be held Sept. 17-18.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Historical Society has launched another initiative to raise awareness of its role in the community.

The event will be held Sept. 17-18 at various points throughout the city. Tour hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.

The first-ever Roswell Historical Society's Tour of Homes will offer a rare chance to get a sneak peek of "some of our community’s most historic private homes and public spaces to admire the special architectural details treasured by families for generations but seldom seen by visitors," the organization said.

Along with the homes featured on the tour, ticket holders will also be able to check out some of the city's newer construction in Roswell's historic areas.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event, and can be purchased online or at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center at 950 Forrest Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m Tuesdays and Thursdays.
