Holiday Festivities Come To Roswell's Southern Trilogy
Several events will be hosted at Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation.

Roswell’s Southern Trilogy is set to celebrate the holiday season, and residents will not be disappointed with this year’s lineup of events.

Select events taking place at Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation include:
· Twisted Tinsel Holiday Extravaganza: Taking place on Dec. 5 at all three homes, this event features wacky winter activities and games such as candy cane limbo, ornament races, an ugliest holiday sweater contest and more.

· Holiday Cooking Class at Barrington Hall: Students will learn how to prepare a “do-ahead” dinner perfect for the busy holiday season. Taught by Chef John Wilson on Dec. 1.
· Christmas High Teas at Bulloch Hall: Relax and enjoy a wonderful afternoon as ladies in period dress serve a two-course high tea at Bulloch Hall. Events take place on Dec. 8, 10, 15 & 17.
· A Candlelight Christmas Event at Smith Plantation: This event features festive decorations throughout the home, along with refreshments, live music and a demonstration by the Roswell Garden Club Elves on how Christmas decorations are made.
· A Christmas Carol at Bulloch Hall: This holiday classic returns to the Bulloch Hall stage this season, featuring Brink Miller as Scrooge. Performances take place Dec. 11-13 and 16-20.
· 1853 Wedding of Mittie Bulloch to Theodore Roosevelt, Sr.: Bulloch Hall presents a living history event. Be a “guest” at the 1853 wedding of Mittie Bulloch to Theodore Roosevelt Sr. where the spirit of romance is created through drama with historical accuracy. This memorable evening takes place on Dec. 21 and concludes with storytelling and a very special frozen dessert.
Along with these events, visitors are invited to tour each home, which has been thematically decorated for the season.
Holiday exhibits include:
- “A Musical Christmas” at Smith Plantation: This year’s theme is “A Musical Christmas” as each room is decorated with breathtaking ideas using the Roswell Garden Club’s favorite Christmas carols. Exhibit runs through Jan. 2.
- “A King Family Christmas” at Barrington Hall: The home is decorated in full Southern splendor, including pieces from the family’s collection on loan from the Roswell Historical Society such as gloves, gentleman’s ties, toys, and many personal artifacts – all items received as gifts during the holiday season. Exhibit runs through Jan. 3.
- “Christmas at the Bulloch’s 1845” at Bulloch Hall – Experience the beauty of Christmas the way it was celebrated by the Bulloch Family during this time period. Exhibit runs through Dec. 30.
