Homeschool Day Comes To Roswell's Southern Trilogy

The city's Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the initiative on Sept. 20.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau and the city's three Southern Trilogy Homes are gearing up for the annual Homeschool Day for area students.

Homeschool Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20. Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation will be open for tours, and demonstrations and hands-on activities will be held at all three homes so students can experience life in the 1800's.

Some of these activities include quilting, candle dipping, drawing water from the well for washing and bathing, churning butter, smoking meat in the smokehouse, a vegetable dig and making corn husk dolls.
