$38,000 Grant Awarded To HomeStretch
The Lowe's Charitable and Educational Fund grant will be used to renovate apartments used by the organization's clients.

ROSWELL, GA — The Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation has awarded a $38,000 grant to HomeStretch, Inc. for the HomeStretch Supportive and Affordable Housing Program. HomeStretch will use the grant to renovate up to nine apartments after families exit the program to get the units ready for the next homeless family. The project includes painting, repairing and replacing appliances, hot water heaters and other equipment.
Family unit turnover occurs approximately 9-10 times per year. Our volunteer teams have less than a month to get the units repaired, finished and ready for the new family.
“This grant from Lowe’s comes at the perfect time. Most of the appliances in our family units are outdated and are costing us too much time and money to repair them. Without this grant, we could not replace the appliances on our own”, said Joan O’Connell, Development Director.
