Hope Shines from Roswell, GA for Enslaved Girls Around the World
Trafficking. Child Marriage. Abduction. Girls in the developing world face the world's worst challenges. Yet there is hope.

World Bank studies conclude that girls hold the greatest potential to transform their communities and the next generation. In recognition of this fact, the United Nations has named October 11 the International Day of the Girl. In partnership with She Is Safe, members of the Roswell community, including the Roswell Prayer Network, will gather at Roswell City Hall Memorial Garden to shine a light on the plight and potential of girls.
On Sunday, October 11 at 6PM, concerned Roswell residents will gather to celebrate the achievements of girls around the world and lift them up for a brighter future. Led by Michele Rickett, President & Founder of She Is Safe, “HOPE SHINES FROM ROSWELL” will include stories of triumph of girls in the hardest places and prayer. At sundown, participants with offer a symbolic shining of light into the night sky on behalf of girls.
HOPE SHINES is a worldwide initiative of She Is Safe, a Roswell, GA-based nonprofit that works to prevent, rescue and restore girls from abuse and slavery. To learn more about HOPE SHINES and how to bring freedom to girls, please visit SheIsSafe.org.
