House Explodes In Roswell; Fire Department Investigating

Three people were injured Tuesday evening in the explosion, with two victims suffering second- and third-degree burns.

ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Fire Department is investigating what caused a house to explode late Tuesday on Pine Grove Point Drive.

9-1-1 dispatched a full-alarm call around 8:49 p.m. June 12 to the explosion at the home, which is located off Shallowford Road on the western side of the city. Fire units arrived to find a single family home with "substantial damage, (but) no fire reported," said Roswell fire spokesperson Pabel Troche.

Two people were injured and transported with second- and third-degree burns to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. One minor injury was treated at the scene.
