Household Hazardous Waste Collection On May 12

From the City of Roswell Environmental/Public Works Department: The City of Roswell's Public Works/Environmental Department will host the Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Commercial entities are encouraged not to attend as this event will cater to Roswell residents only.

The event will run from 9:00 AM until noon and will be held at 1810 Hembree Road (Public Works/Transportation/Fire Facilities). Please note this event will not be held at the Roswell Recycling Center.

Items accepted:

• Paint thinner/turpentine
• Pesticides including: fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides
• Undiluted pool chemicals
• Household cleaners
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Propane gas cylinders
• Mercury thermometers/thermostats
• Household batteries (non-rechargeable)
• Aerosols including aerosol paint
• Automotive brake fluid/used motor oil filters (no other automotive fluids)

Note: No latex paint or oil based paint will be accepted. Roswell residents can bring these items to the Roswell Recycling Center.

The CARE Environmental Corporation will be handling and disposing of the materials. Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.
