Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Comes To Roswell
The event, which will be held for Roswell residents only, is scheduled for March 19.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Public Works/Environmental Department will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event next month.

Residents can take part in this rare opportunity from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 19 at 1810 Hembree Road. Please note this event is not at the Roswell Recycling Center.
This event is for Roswell residents only; no commercial entities will be allowed to participate.

Items accepted at the March 19 collection include:
- Paint thinner/turpentine
- Pesticides including: fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides
- Undiluted pool chemicals
- Household cleaners
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Propane gas cylinders
- Mercury thermometers/thermostats
- Household batteries (non-rechargeable)
- Aerosols including aerosol paint
- Automotive brake fluid/used motor oil filters (no other automotive fluids)
No latex or oil-based paint will be accepted at this event. Residents can bring these items to the Recycling Center during normal operating hours.
The CARE Environmental Corporation will be handling and disposing of the materials. Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.
