Internationally Known Reggae Artist To Bring Hits To Roswell

Monty Montgomery, whose has toured across Europe, will perform Sept. 5 at Roswell's Riverside Sounds.

Roswell’s Riverside Sounds free concert series continues next month with reggae artist Monty Montgomery.

Montgomery will take the stage from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at Riverside Park.

Born in Port Antonio, Jamaica, this talented and charismatic performer started to write and create music in his early years and has since reached the British charts and toured across Europe.

He holds numerous awards, is listed in the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles, and was recognized as one of the top reggae artists of all times by Billboard magazine.

Food trucks Hail Caesar and Pressed for Time will be on location starting at 6 p.m. Patrons 21 and older are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages to the show.

After this September show, there will be one remaining concert for this year’s series: Oct. 3 featuring Get Right Band.

Riverside Sounds is produced by the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department and is sponsored by the Roswell Neighbor, Lee J. Howard Entertainment, Spencer Pest Control, and Scroggin & Company, P.C.

Riverside Park is located at 575 Riverside Road in Roswell.
