The Roswell Republican senator joined the governor to honor Marine Noncommissioned Officer Sgt. Jason T. Greene.

Georgia State Senator John Albers of Roswell recently joined Governor Nathan Deal to recognized Marine Noncommissioned Officer Sgt. Jason T. Greene as NCO Marine of the Year.

Albers and Deal noted his unwavering commitment to this country through his service in the United States Marine Corps as they celebrated his achievement.

“Sgt. Greene is the definition of a true American hero and completely deserving of this distinguished honor,” Albers said. “As a third generation marine, he comes from a long and renowned line of upstanding citizens who selflessly serve these United States. He was instrumental in our nation’s success in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and continues to serve in the armed forces in addition to employment in the private sector and roles as a husband and father. It was an honor to join him and his family for this special occasion.”
