Kittens, Elderly Cat Rescued From Side of Road

Fulton County's Lifeline Animal Project made the discovery in two separate incidents.

LifeLine Animal Project recently rescued four five-month-old kittens and an elderly cat in two separate incidents.

The kittens were discarded in a closed container beside a busy road. LifeLine took immediate action, and had our wonderful vet and clinic technician examine the babies carefully, administer medicine and give them a dose of love. We are now housing, feeding and caring for them, and soon they will be spayed or neutered.

These babies, who were considered disposable by someone, are precious to us. They are already playing with shoelaces and snuggling with the staff, and they will be up for adoption soon.

LifeLine also found a gorgeous cat, we named Azrael, in a box on another road. Azrael is a bit timid when you first meet her, but is quick to warm up, and is as sweet and loving as she is beautiful.

She is an older lady -- about 14 years old -- who would like nothing more than to find her forever home with someone who wants an older, gentle-hearted cat.

This beauty has lovely medium length gray hair and striking golden eyes. If you are interested in meeting this pretty girl, please email adoptions@lifelineanimal.org.

LifeLine Animal Project’s Fulton County Animal Services Pets of the Week: B. More and Hazel

Our first Pet of the week is B. More, an adorable girl who is completely house trained and has never had any accidents in her foster home! B. more is about three year’s old and weighs 45 lbs. She has a medium energy level, and loves playing with toys, splashing in water or snuggling on the sofa and getting belly rubs. B. is very polite, will sit and wait to get her food, comes when she is called and is learning the command “leave it” with squirrels. She is also learning how to walk politely on a leash. This wonderful girl is already spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and has a ton of love to give some lucky family!

Our next pet is a lovely, calm and quiet cat named Hazel. This 10-year-old girl is super sweet and loving. She is shy at first, but once she warms up to someone she becomes very affectionate, rubbing her head on them and climbing on their lap. This low-maintenance gal is content sitting next to someone and will be happy simply being near her person while they work or watch TV. She is already spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, so she can go home today. Hazel would be a great fit for any family!

If you adopt either B. More or Hazel during September, you can take advantage of our “Fall in Love” promotion, and their adoption fees will be FREE! This includes their spay/neuter, vaccines and microchip – a $250 value!
