Lane Closures Continue For Roswell Sinkhole Repair

For the Thursday commute, only two lanes of travel on S.R. 9 -- one northbound and one southbound -- will be available for use by drivers.

ROSWELL, GA -- All southbound lanes on Highway 9/Atlanta Street are closed in Roswell while Georgia Department of Transportation crews continue to repair a sinkhole that's re-emerged on the state highway.

Crews will work overnight to repair the sinkhole, located on the shoulder, in the affected portion of the road between Oxbo Road and Oak Street, GDOT said Wednesday.

Motorists should note that for the early morning commute, two northbound lanes will be utilized to provide two lanes of travel, one each for motorists heading southbound and those traveling northbound. The city and Georgia DOT strongly advises drivers to seek alternative routes for their commute to and from work.
