'Little Shop of Horrors' Comes to Roswell High School's Stage

Tickets for the show, which will run April 16-19, will go on sale starting Monday, March 23 at the school's main office.

Roswell High School’s Theatre and Chorus departments join forces to bring the off-beat musical, “Little Shop of Horrors,” to the high school stage.

This horticultural horror will run April 16-19 at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, with a 3 p.m. Sunday matinee at the Roswell High School auditorium.

Tickets are general admission, $10 in advance and $12 at the door, and will go on sale starting Monday, March 23 at Roswell High School’s main office.

The show runs two hours with one 15 minute intermission.

Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin) are the creative team for the musical adaptation of Roger Corman’s 1960s low-budget comedy. The stage version was the third longest running musical on Broadway in the 1980s.

Meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination! Can meek florist Seymour save Earth from the evil plans of his plant and get the love of the real Audrey? Find out for yourself at the Roswell High School production April 16th-19th, 2015.

The musical is filled with a cast and crew of talented students; for the seniors graduating in May, this will be their last show.

Cast includes: Dylan Moran (Seymour), Grace Hubby (Audrey), Andrew Bourne (Mushnik), Brandon Hills (Orin), Clee Alexander (Ronnette), Jena Mason (Chiffon), Felicia Agostini (Crystal), Katherine Thompson, and Abbie Troutman as the sassy Doo-Wop Girls, and Brenton Tenreiro - voice and Ethan Mudd - puppeteer of “Audrey II.” The crew is led by Stage Manager/Student Director Lilly Gonzalez.
